SWAY MEN
Your body is unique, but as a man there are specific attributes your body has that are related to all men.
Stretching yourself
Increasing your flexibility, which for most men comes from a low base, is a key benefit of Pilates. Better motion throughout your body is the ultimate way to empower it, especially as you get older.
The hidden muscles
We all have layers of muscle. If we lift weights, we work that top (or superficial) muscle, but so often neglect stabilising inner muscles that generate true strength and mobility that radiates from the core outwards. Pilates increases inner strength and stability in these hidden muscles, alongside balanced muscle development.
Combat pain points
Joints can become immobile and muscles can become tight for a number of reasons. This can cause trigger points of pain anywhere in the body as well as a lack of mobility in your joints – from the tops of your shoulders to your lower back and beyond. Pain occurs because we repeatedly hold our bodies in particular positions to offset discomfort, over-compensating in one area which results in damage in another. Our all-body approach targets and loosens these areas to help keep them free of pain.
Up your game
When you can move more freely, when you build that inner stability and strength, it means you can literally up in your game in other areas of your life - go from that 5k to a marathon, from a flat road ride to that mountain incline. Again, our all-body approach empowers you to give your all in all areas for your life.
Control and precision
Pilates brings focus. Breathing is at the heart of this, alongside controlled moves. It’s no wonder that pilates is a doorway into meditation and mindfulness. Increased mental and physical wellbeing is the greatest prize, and one we can help you reach. After all if the mind believes it, and the mind can see it, your body can achieve it.
