Moving for Sarcoma Cancer Ireland: Pilates, Sea Swim & Sauna in Bray
A morning of movement, community, and giving back
Our Sway Pilates community came together in Bray with one shared goal: to raise funds and awareness for Sarcoma Cancer Ireland, while connecting through movement, challenge, and support.
Starting with Pilates, moving with intention
We began the day with an outdoor Pilates class on the seafront, led by our instructors Naomh and Aoife.
The focus was grounding, breath, and mindful activation, creating a strong, calm foundation for the rest of the morning.
Starting with Pilates felt important. It allowed us to arrive fully present, connected to our bodies and to each other, before stepping into the next challenge.
Stepping into the sea for a cause
After class, we made our way into the water. For some, this was familiar; for others, it was a first-time sea swim. What united everyone was the shared intention behind it.
Cold water demands presence and courage, and entering the sea together, knowing it was in support of Sarcoma Cancer Ireland, made the experience deeply meaningful.
Warming up and reconnecting
From the sea, we headed to Seawater Saunas Bray, where warmth, conversation, and reflection filled the space. The sauna offered a moment to recover, connect, and appreciate what we had just accomplished together.
We’re incredibly grateful to Seawater Saunas Bray for collaborating with us and supporting this fundraiser so generously.
The impact
Thanks to the support of everyone who took part, donated, or shared the event, we raised €2000 for Sarcoma Cancer Ireland.
Every contribution helped support vital work, and we’re so proud of what this community achieved together.
Thank you 🤍
To everyone who joined the Pilates class, entered the sea, warmed up in the sauna, donated, or supported from afar, thank you.
This morning was a powerful reminder that movement can be a way to give back, and that community makes even the hardest challenges feel possible.
